Before long, he'd transformed the payroll system at his satellite office — turning a painful manual process into something that actually worked. Then he turned his attention to the circulation unit, where he brought reporting and direct marketing campaign thinking that genuinely moved the needle.

The headline? He helped lead 13 consecutive months of circulation growth — at a time when every other newspaper in America was in decline. That's not a typo.

Licensed Insurance Agent

Joe also earned his license as a property and casualty insurance agent — a crowded, competitive market where you either earn trust quickly or you don't last. He lasted.

An RV Resort in Southeastern Indiana

One of Joe's favorite chapters: working at an RV resort in Southeastern Indiana, guiding guest experiences. He loved the owners like family, made lasting friendships there, and cherished every moment of it. To this day, he'd love to own a campground — and who knows, maybe someday he will.

Joe spent time as an inside sales rep at an electrical supply company. High voltage. Literally. He learned the trade, built relationships, and brought the same energy to selling electrical components that he brought to everything else.
